A lacy frame of silver filigree surrounds a dyed green onyx stone, in this vintage cocktail ring from Mexico, circa 1950s. 

The finely crafted ring consists of sterling silver with filigree or openwork trim, and is bezel set with dyed green onyx, also known as ‘Mexican Jade’.

The face of the ring measures approximately 1 inch in length, while the ring itself measures a size 5&1/2 on my ring mandrel. 

It weighs 5.4 grams and is marked with a crown logo along with “Plata Real” (slightly obscured by the shank), “Sterling”, and “Mexico”.
